Rabbits and guinea pigs look like they eat the same things, but their nuggets aren't interchangeable. Here's how to feed each one well, using the foods we stock.

Hay is the main meal
For both rabbits and guinea pigs, good hay should make up most of the diet and be available all day. It keeps teeth worn down and digestion moving.
Rabbit nuggets
Feed a measured portion of a rabbit-specific nugget. Choose by life stage: junior for young and dwarf rabbits, adult for most, and light for less active rabbits or those watching their weight.
Guinea pig nuggets: vitamin C matters
Guinea pigs can't make their own vitamin C, so always use a food made for guinea pigs, never rabbit food, plus fresh greens.

Changing food
Switch gradually over a couple of weeks, mixing old and new. Sudden changes can upset sensitive tummies.
